J&S ENTERPRISES specializes in freight hauling services tailored to meet the needs of our customers. With a focus on oversized and overweight construction equipment, as well as massive industrial machines, we ensure that all loads, regardless of their shape and size, are transported safely and efficiently. Our fleet of custom trucks and heavy haul trailers can move even the most challenging heavy haul loads.
Heavy haul trucking is different from legal flatbed hauling. All wide loads that exceed the legal limits for length, width, height, or weight are oversized loads. Transportation regulations and oversize load or overweight permits are managed at the state level and can vary between states. This type of freight hauling often consists of subtypes such as RGNs (removable gooseneck trailers), lowboy trailers, multi-axle trailers, and flatbed trailers.
Side dumps are an efficient way to haul most any material from on-or-off construction sites, landscaping projects, and other types of terrain. We have the equipment and resources to get the job done for side dump and dirt work hauling - such as fine sand, gravel, rock, dirt, and broken concrete to large boulders. The scope of materials that J&S ENTERPRISES hauls is substantial ......if the load fits in the tub (non-hazardous ONLY), we can haul it!
Side dump trailers are known for handling a variety of materials across different industries. Our dumping operations are done from inside the cab and in most cases it is unnecessary to back the trailer up to drop the load. We drive up to where the load needs to be placed, engage the power take-off (PTO) and start the dump cycle (when loading materials, there is no need to engage the PTO). This overall process allows J&S drivers to unload and load materials quickly and efficiently, reducing downtime on job sites.
Our freight transportation services cater to a wide range of needs, from one-way and round-trip transportation, to occasional hauls, and dedicated lanes. With our modern fleet, specialized equipment, and commitment to safety and compliance, J&S ENTERPRISES is well equipped to handle all types of freight and cargo. Our personalized solutions and 24/7 support ensure that your operations run smoothly and efficiently. There is no load too big or small!
The choice between flatbed, full truckload (FTL), and less than truckload (LTL) freight services depends on several factors, such as: shipment size, delivery timelines, budget, and specific cargo requirements. Typically, for large shipments that can fill an entire trailer, full truckload (FTL) is the best option. On the other hand, for smaller shipments, less than truckload (LTL) can provide a cost-effective solution. Flatbed services are spot-on for oversized or irregularly shaped cargo.
We understand the need for focused and time-critical transportation. Our specialized and expedited freight services meet the highest standards of reliability and safety. Whether it is an oversized load shipment, emergency freight hauling or just-in-time cargo delivery, your transport reaches its destination on schedule. With a 99.8% on-time success rate, J&S ENTERPRISES is committed to being there when "you need it NOW".
Expedited shipping is for time-sensitive freight, while specialized shipping is for items that cannot ship with basic dry vans, enclosed trailers, or standard flatbed trailers. Both shipping methods often cost more than standard shipping options, but for distinct reasons. Expedited shipping incurs higher costs due to urgency, while specialized shipping often involves added expenses for custom solutions and safety measures.
Hotshot trucking services (also known as "hot shot transport") are for smaller loads that do not require a semi-truck and full-size trailer. We use Class 5 trucks paired with flatbed or gooseneck trailers to deliver loads over short to medium distances, often within a matter of hours. J&S ENTERPRISES' hotshot freight services cover a wide array of transportation needs, including but not limited to the following: vehicles, construction equipment (i.e. excavators, bulldozers, tractors, backhoes), agricultural equipment (i.e. tractors, plows, mowers, balers), machinery parts, and retail goods.
Our hotshot trailers are capable of transporting loads up to 28ft in length and a maximum load weight of 20,000#. The maximum gross weight for our vehicles is 40,000#. This capacity allows J&S to handle a wide range of cargo sizes and weights, providing a solution for smaller transport needs.
J&S ENTERPRISES drivers are TWIC certified for unescorted access to secure areas of port facilities, MTSA vessels, commercial airports, biomedical facilities, federal buildings, and hospitals. The certification process involves an extensive background check including criminal history, immigration status, and terrorist watchlist screening. J&S customers have the assurance that we met stringent requirements set forth by the TWIC program. Our team of drivers are dependable, trustworthy, and capable of handling sensitive operations.
A TWIC card is a Transportation Worker Identification Credential that is used by the TSA (Transportation Security Administration). In the transportation industry, a TWIC card allows that specific driver to have escort-free access to government protected areas or federal locations to load and unload freight and cargo.
